Resources:
There are two types of resources in Tribulation's Vale: Green ones, and red ones. The green resources give 5-8* points, and the red one gives 25-45* points. The green resources spawn in ALL lanes seemingly in order of when they were last collected. For example, lane 2's green resource could spawn before lane 1's, if it was taken before 1's was. This means that it's important to pay attention to which ones have been captured, to anticipate the order they respawn. The exception to this seems to be the Concentrated Resource; the red one in district ( lane ) 3. The Concentrated Resource spawns somewhat randomly*, but can still be sort of predicted when district 3 is about to spawn a resource. It could be green, it could be red. It does however, seem to spawn more often the higher the scores are from what I've seen in CBT and OBT.
Point breakdown:
Green Resource- 5-8* points.
Concentrated ( red ) Resource- 25-45* points.
Kills- 0 points.
**The *'s represent statements that I can't be 100% sure on. When playing, it's hard to focus on hard numbers when fending off dozens of people trying to kill you! But, they are accurate enough statements for others to use going into the map.**
General Strategy:
Past the 10-59 bracket of PvP, the most common strategy for Tribulation's Vale is to focus only on two lanes ( 1 and 2 or 4 and 5 ) while all zerging ( all players collapsing together ) on lane 3 when the Concentrated Resource appears. This largely works and, given that teams are randomized, it's probably the best strategy to use.
Tips:
- If you're a ranged class, do your best to interrupt those trying to take a resource as long as you can! It's not that hard to do for green resources, but when there's a ton of players trying to get the Concentrated Resource, use your AoE's; spray and pray.
- Before the match starts, figure out where the bulk of your team is going and go with them. This is the one map where zerging is actually beneficial if your team's using the two-district approach.
- Earthguardian's AoE pull is invaluable here whether on green resources or Concentrated. Use it to ensure your team captures the resource.
- Don't be afraid to suicide just to interrupt! Like Mettle's Theater, it's a good idea to suicide sometimes to give your team time to respawn and get back to the lane. People like seeing their names up top with tons of kills. So by doing this you might get them to target you instead of the resource.
- In a losing battle, don't run away! If you start to run away because your team is getting creamed, you run the risk of them chasing you. This generally makes it harder for those that are coming back -or to- your location since they have to push to get past those that followed you. If a resource is about to spawn, ain't no one got time fo' that!
Rewards:
Rewards here are pretty much the same as they are in Mettle's Theater. I do believe you receive less actually, in terms of Hero Badges with winning and losing. But 10-59 receive Hero Badges, some silver, and experience. Level 60's again, just get Hero Badges.
That's all for Tribulation's Vale. It's a pretty straight-forward map that doesn't need a lot of talking about. Thanks for reading, and I hope you learned something!
