Gaming Accessories and Programs

This page is dedicated to gaming accessories that I find really helps me keep on top, and gives me an added edge in MMORPG's these days. Having a good mouse and keyboard is pretty much required if you're trying to be any good at PvE or PvP. And since Echo of Soul offers a ton of skills, consumables, mounts and other items to be placed on your hotbars, you pretty much need a decent set. If you're interested in any of the products listed here, just click on one of my affiliate banners to the right, and it'll open a new tab to its webpage. So here's my picks:

I've owned a Razer Naga for over a year now, and it's probably the best mouse I've ever bought. It's also the main reason I love Razer products and wanted to become an affiliate for them. Having an extra 12 buttons on the side of the mouse is just too convenient for me, and anyone else who plays modern MMO's. Take a guess on how many skills you can slot into one of your hotbars? 12! It's a perfect fit.

The Naga has a nice weight to it, and is fully programmable. Programmable meaning, all 19 buttons can be used for whatever you want in any way you can imagine. Nearly everything on my hotbar can be used by a simple keystroke ( SHIFT, ALT, CTRL etc. ) followed by one of the twelve numbers on the Naga. It just makes everything so much easier without having to map 20 different keys on my keyboard and remembering which does what.

If you get one thing to help yourself out with modern PC games, I highly advise you to pick a good mouse. Whether you get a Naga or whatever else, it truly does make a huge difference.

Another thing I feel is almost as necessary as a good mouse, is a good keyboard. Again, I went with a Razer product; the Razer Deathstalker. I came off of 'gaming' on a laptop before I had my PC built. So it was awkward to start using the bulky keyboard keys again, and I absolutely hate all the clickety-clackety on most gaming keyboards these days. The Deathstalker comes with chicklet keys or, keys that resemble ones you get on laptops. It was perfect for me, so I didn't hesitate to buy it. The Deathstalker is fully programmable just like the Naga, and lets me fill in a couple of gaps the Naga leaves. Since the keys are thin, my fingers basically glide over the keyboard to reach my hotbar shortcuts.

The Deathstalker's bigger than most keyboards out there, as it comes with a wrist support that, despite it being hard plastic, is quite comfortable. One of its best features in my opinion, is the fact there's a "Gaming Mode" option. This completely turns off the Windows key as to not accidentally go to your desktop at crucial moments when trying to hit ALT or CTRL. This offers a little comfort that more traditional keyboards can't give.

Both the Razer Naga and Deathstalker are pretty much essentials in my book since I'm heavily involved with PvP in just about every game I play. They just make things so much easier that it's unreal. I didn't even scratch the surface of all that these products offer. For the full details, click the links above, and check them out. They really are necessary items for modern day gamers.

Razer Comms

Last but not least, is Razer Comms. This is the offical voice chat program for Echo of Soul. There's always people on there, and is a solid program. It's also free, of course. If I had my way, I'd rather use this than other programs like Teamspeak, Vent, and Raidcall. Razer's taken what others have done, and made it 120% better. It also looks pretty cool as well. When you sign-up, I'd greatly appreciate it if you use my Razer ID as your referral ( Copestetic ). By doing this, you give me points on getting free Razer gear that I can give away in future contests.

That wraps this up. Just wanted to go over what I use to help me out in games I play. I use other Razer products, like the Kraken Pro and Ferox for speakers, but they're not necessary in my opinion; just fluff. Plus, despite being an affiliate, I'm not really trying to sound like an ad for them. I just enjoy their products enough to slap a few banners here on this blog. Hope all this helped some people out on their quest for the perfect gaming accessories!
